Clasado to attend Microbes in Women’s Health Congress 2025

Clasado is set to attend the Microbes in Women’s Health Congress, taking place 9-10 April at the Royal Tropical Institute in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

Following its successful inaugural event in Copenhagen last year, the second edition of the Congress is expected to bring together more than 300 world-leading microbiome researchers, biotechnology innovators, and healthcare and pharmaceutical experts.

Clasado’s Research & Development team will be in attendance, ready to share scientifically validated prebiotic insight with formulators and health professionals at the event.

Dr Lucien Harthoorn, R&D Director at Clasado, commented: “The Microbes in Women’s Health Congress is an important platform for advancing our understanding of how the microbiome influences women’s health throughout different life stages. Exploring how gut microbiome modulation may contribute to addressing specific women’s health challenges is increasingly important, and through further research, we can understand more about the ties to improving health in a targeted manner.”

“With over 125 scientific publications and more than 20 clinical trials supporting Bimuno GOS, we continue to explore new applications for our prebiotic ingredient across diverse populations and health areas. This event offers a valuable opportunity to connect with researchers and healthcare professionals focused on women’s health, and exploring where microbiome modulating compounds fit into future women’s health strategies.”

The Congress will focus on the microbiome’s role across different stages of women’s lifes, including sessions on the typical vaginal microbiome, fertility, pregnancy, menopause, women-specific indications, and therapeutic development. This comprehensive approach aligns with growing recognition of the historically under-researched field of women’s health and the promising role microbiome science can play in addressing unmet needs.

The Clasado team welcomes meetings throughout the event to discuss potential research collaborations and the role of prebiotics in women’s health applications.

Businesses or individuals interested in arranging a meeting with the Clasado team at the Microbes in Women’s Health Congress are invited to get in touch and secure an appointment.
