Clasado Biosciences will attend Vitafoods Europe 2026, taking place 5–7 May 2026 at Fira Barcelona Gran Via, Barcelona, Spain.
One of the world’s leading nutraceutical events, Vitafoods Europe brings together ingredient suppliers, formulators, brand owners and researchers from across the global health and nutrition industry. The 2026 edition is expected to welcome over 30,000 attendees from 135+ countries, alongside 1,600+ exhibitors, making it an essential gathering for those at the forefront of functional ingredient science.
Attending all three days of the show will be Marcelo Durante, Vice President of Sales & Marketing, Annika Malmros, Director of Business Development, and Steven Riley, Head of Marketing at Clasado. The team will be available throughout the event to meet with formulators, brands and industry professionals interested in learning more about the science and application potential of Bimuno® GOS.
Visitors to Vitafoods Europe 2026 are invited to get in touch and arrange a meeting with the Clasado team at the event.
Marcelo said: “Vitafoods Europe is where the global health and nutrition industry comes together, and for us it’s one of the most important dates in the calendar. The conversation around gut health has shifted significantly in recent years. It’s moved from a niche interest to a mainstream priority for consumers, and formulators are responding.
“What excites me about this show is the opportunity to meet the brands that are genuinely pushing category boundaries, and to show them how the science behind Bimuno GOS can help them do that with confidence. Whether that’s in sports nutrition, immune health, cognitive wellness or beyond, the evidence base we can bring to the table is unmatched in the GOS category.”
Vitafoods Europe also provides an opportunity to connect with Clasado’s growing international distribution network. Several regional partners from across Europe, Asia and Latin America will be present, either exhibiting or attending:
- Bart (Poland)
- Pharmanutra (Italy)
- Tecom / IMCD (Spain)
- Phytonet (Eastern Europe)
- CTC (Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam, and Colombia)
- DS Medipharm (South Korea)
- Alliance Nutrition (China)
- Nutrisense (Taiwan)
Together, these relationships reflect the growing demand for Bimuno GOS across global markets and the strength of Clasado’s collaborative approach to regional distribution.
The Clasado team will also be on hand to discuss recently published clinical research, including a new study examining the role of Bimuno GOS in supporting gut comfort and gut barrier integrity in athletes during high-intensity exercise.
Conducted at Nottingham Trent University and published in Experimental Physiology, the randomised double-blind placebo-controlled study found that athletes supplementing with Bimuno GOS experienced a significant reduction in gastrointestinal symptoms during exercise, alongside a 35% reduction in peak change in I-FABP, a key biomarker of gut barrier damage. Upper respiratory symptom episodes were also notably shorter and less severe in the Bimuno GOS group, underlining the ingredient’s potential to support athlete health beyond gut comfort alone.
