Clasado Biosciences fundraises for Sport in Mind in charity raffle

Reading-based Clasado Biosciences has raised £825 through a raffle in support of its charity partner, Sport in Mind®.

Clasado, developer of one of the world’s premier prebiotic ingredients for health and nutrition, launched its partnership with Sport in Mind in 2022. The charity, supporting people in the Reading area, is dedicated to improving the lives of individuals facing mental health challenges through sports and physical activity.

In collaboration with the NHS, Sport in Mind delivers tailored programs designed by healthcare professionals and individuals with personal experiences of mental health issues.

The funds raised by Clasado will be instrumental in providing much-needed support to those in need. This contribution through Clasado’s charity raffle will enable Sport in Mind to offer essential assistance, such as through weekly mother and baby yoga sessions, specifically aimed at supporting new mothers experiencing mental health difficulties.

Steven Riley, Head of B2B & Corporate Marketing at Clasado, expressed his pride in the achievement, stating, “Mental health is a significant challenge to public health, and will touch many of us throughout our lifetimes. We believe in giving back where we can, to ensure our business is always a force for good.

Sport in Mind’s mission aligns perfectly with our values, and we are honoured to be able to work with them as our charity partner – particularly with both organisations being local to Reading. Made possible through the hard work of our charity committee and with the support of our generous suppliers, we have been able to contribute to a very worthy cause through our charity raffle.”

Neil Harris, Founder and CEO at Sport in Mind, emphasised the positive impact of such contributions, stating, “Mental health problems can have an enormous impact on individuals’ quality of life, but we have seen first-hand the positive impact that physical activity can have. We are pleased to have connected with the Clasado team and look forward to their continued support in our mission to promote positive mental well-being.”

Achievements such as this from organisations like Clasado, demonstrates commitment to the local community and  dedication in making a difference in the realm of mental health support.
