Clasado to present at Gira Dairy Club and Gira Ingredients Club in September

Clasado has announced that Dr Frederic Narbel, VP of Sales, will be presenting at two industry events hosted by Gira, a leading food supply chain consultancy firm, in September.

Dr Narbel will deliver ‘Prevention vs treatment: How biotics supplements are meeting consumer needs in Asia’ at the Gira Ingredients Club (GIC) on September 12th and Commodity vs. specialty ingredient; the importance of positioning and differentiation’ at the Gira Dairy Club (GDC) on September 13th. The events combine to form Gira’s annual conference series.

The GDC, now in its 14th edition, is a two-day conference providing a comprehensive outlook of the global dairy sector, including current supply and demand balances and industry forecasts. The GIC, in its second year, is an ingredients-focused event that brings together key players from the dairy, plant-based, and bioengineered ingredients sectors. The event nurtures discussion on crucial industry topics including sustainability, partnerships, consumer trends and new applications.

Dr Narbel commented: “We are honoured to participate in these industry events, hosted by Gira. The Gira Dairy Club and Gira Ingredients Club provide invaluable platforms for knowledge sharing and networking within the functional ingredients and dairy sectors. Our presentation will explore how biotics supplements, including prebiotic ingredients like our Bimuno® GOS, are addressing evolving consumer needs worldwide, with a specific focus on the rapidly growing Asian market.

“The theme of ‘prevention vs treatment’ speaks directly to the changing relationship between consumers and health. We’re witnessing a significant shift towards proactive and everyday health management. This change can be seen very clearly when we take a step back to look at the ‘big picture’ in nutraceuticals, and how the marketing is evolving. It’s an honour to share the insights we’ve gained from our global activities with the attendees at Gira’s events, contributing to the industry’s understanding of these evolving consumer behaviours and where the commercial opportunities lie.”

Clasado’s participation in these events demonstrates its commitment to advancing the understanding and application of prebiotic science in the global food and nutrition industry. Verifying its experience on this topic, the company’s ingredient, Bimuno GOS, is the most studied prebiotic of its kind, now supported by over 120 scientific publications.
