Clasado Biosciences (‘Clasado’) has announced the appointment of Dr Gediminas Baltulionis to the role of Scientist and R&D Specialist.
In the role, Dr Baltulionis will support the further development of research behind the award-winning prebiotic galactooligosaccharide (GOS) ingredient, Bimuno®. As the most studied prebiotic of its kind, Bimuno’s safety and efficacy is supported by over 100 scientific publications to date, including more than 20 clinical trials.
As a highly accomplished Molecular Biologist and Biochemist, Dr Baltulionis’ extensive experience includes a Clasado-funded Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC) research project at the University of Reading. Dr Baltulionis brings prior experience of leading large scale research projects, including places held at Dextra Laboratories and Biocatalysts.
