Bimuno GOS now registered in Vietnam

Marking another commercial and regulatory milestone, Clasado has announced that Bimuno® GOS powder is now registered with the Food Safety Department of Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam. The registration confirms its suitability for health and nutrition product formulations.

This achievement marks a significant step in the company’s expansion across the Asian market, which is experiencing rapid growth in the ‘biotics’ categories. The Asia-Pacific prebiotic market is one of the fastest-growing globally, with Grand View Research projecting a robust compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 15.6% to 2028. This growth is driven by increasing consumer awareness of gut health and rising demand for products, such as prebiotics, that support the gut microbiome.

The registration of the powder format functional ingredient in Vietnam follows a series of regulatory successes for Bimuno GOS in the Asian market, including product registration in Thailand, approved health claims in the Philippines, and multiple health claims secured in China.

David Mharakurwa, Sales Director for APAC and MEA at Clasado, commented: “We’re delighted to add Vietnam to the growing list of Asian countries where Bimuno GOS is now formally registered. This latest success underlines our commitment to making our scientifically backed prebiotic ingredient accessible to more consumers across the globe. The Asian market presents enormous potential for prebiotic products, and Bimuno GOS is helping formulators in the market tap into this strong demand.”

This expansion builds on Clasado’s successful partnership with functional ingredient distributor CTC Group, which began in 2021 with distribution in the Philippines and was extended to Indonesia and Vietnam in 2022.

Bimuno GOS, the most scientifically supported prebiotic of its kind in  demonstrating its efficacy in supporting digestive health, immune function, cognitive health and overall wellbeing. With over 120 scientific publications and more than 20 clinical trials supporting its role in health, Bimuno GOS stands out as a trusted choice for formulators and consumers alike.

As Clasado continues to expand its presence in Asia, the company remains dedicated to advancing gut health science and delivering innovative prebiotic solutions to meet the growing consumer demand for science-backed gut health products. The registration of Bimuno GOS powder in Vietnam represents another important step in this journey, opening new opportunities for health and nutrition brands in the region to develop next generation prebiotic products.
