Clasado strengthens APAC presence with attendance at key regional events

Clasado has announced its participation in two significant Asia-Pacific health and nutrition events, reinforcing its commitment to expanding its presence in the rapidly growing APAC market.

The team will attend Food Ingredients China (FIC) in Shanghai, China (17-19 March 2025) and the Australian Pharmacy Professional Conference & Trade Exhibition (APP) on the Gold Coast, Queensland (20-22 March 2025), bringing its expertise in prebiotic science to these dynamic and diverse markets.

Food Ingredients China, Asia’s largest international show in the food additives and ingredients industry, is expected to draw over 150,000 visitors and 1,600 exhibitors. The event will be attended by VP of Sales, Frederic Narbel and Regional Director for APAC, David Mharakurwa and provides an excellent platform for Clasado to showcase its flagship ingredient, Bimuno® GOS, to the burgeoning Chinese functional food and nutraceutical sectors.

With China’s growing emphasis on preventative health and wellness, prebiotic ingredients are gaining significant traction. The Chinese market presents substantial opportunities for Bimuno® GOS, particularly as consumer awareness of gut health continues to rise and regulatory frameworks evolve to support innovative functional ingredients.

Following FIC, Regional Director for APAC, David Mharakurwa will then arrive in Australia for APP 2025, the largest pharmacy conference in the Southern Hemisphere. With up to 7,000 pharmacy professionals expected to attend, the event offers the company a valuable opportunity to connect with key stakeholders in the Australian health market, where Bimuno® GOS already benefits from 29 self-substantiated claims approved by Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ).

David Mharakurwa, APAC Regional Director at Clasado, commented: “The Asia-Pacific region represents a key growth market, with increasing consumer awareness of gut health and rising demand for scientifically validated functional ingredients. Our attendance at these events reflects our strategic commitment to the APAC region.”

“With Bimuno GOS being supported by over 125 scientific publications and access to a variety of health claims in markets such as Australia and New Zealand, we’re well-positioned to support formulators across the region in developing innovative gut health products. We’re particularly excited to engage with businesses in China, where interest in prebiotics is accelerating rapidly and creating new opportunities for collaboration”.

The Clasado team welcomes meetings throughout both events to discuss how Bimuno GOS can support regional product development initiatives. The prebiotic’s extensive scientific validation, coupled with its stability and versatility, make it an ideal ingredient for the diverse APAC market, where product formats and consumer preferences vary significantly across countries.
