Clasado Biosciences has confirmed its attendance at the ILSI Europe Annual Symposium 2026, taking place on 15-16 June 2026 in Brussels, Belgium.
R&D Senior Scientist and Clinical Project Manager, Dr Georgina Dodd, and R&D Director, Dr Lucien Harthoorn, will represent Clasado at the two-day event, and will be available to connect with scientists and industry professionals with an interest in prebiotic science and gut microbiome research.
The annual International Life Sciences Institute (ILSI) Europe Symposium brings together experts from academia, industry and the public sector to explore current and future challenges across food safety, nutrition and sustainability. This year’s event will be celebrating 40 years of connection and showcase the latest research from ILSI Europe’s Task Forces, covering topics including healthy nutrition across the lifespan, gut microbiome health, food allergens and food contaminants management, and next-generation risk assessment methods.
Clasado has longstanding ties with ILSI Europe. Dr Harthoorn serves on the ILSI Europe Board of Directors, contributing to the organisation’s strategic direction and supporting the development of its Scientific Advisory Committee. Dr Dodd, meanwhile, is an active member of ILSI Europe’s Prebiotics Task Force, which investigates the potential of prebiotics in supporting wellbeing and seeks to advance collective understanding of how gut microbiome modulation fits into the modern health landscape.
Dr Dodd will also take to the stage during the symposium’s Decoding the Microbiome: From Established Evidence to Emerging Applications session on 16 June, delivering an introduction to the ILSI Europe Prebiotics Task Force alongside a lineup of leading scientists from across the field.
Dr Dodd commented: “As an organisation grounded in collaborative science, ILSI Europe’s Annual Symposium is one of the most prestigious scientific events in the nutrition calendar, and it’s always a privilege to be part of the dialogue it generates. With gut microbiome health firmly on the agenda this year, it’s a timely opportunity to engage with the latest research, connect with fellow scientists, and continue to advance the evidence base for prebiotics.”
That evidence base includes over 130 scientific publications, including more than 25 clinical trials, that back Clasado’s proprietary galactooligosaccharide (GOS) prebiotic, Bimuno® GOS. The company continues to invest in expanding the scientific understanding of prebiotics and their applications across multiple health areas, including gastrointestinal health, immunity, cognitive wellbeing, sports nutrition and healthy ageing.
Those interested in meeting with Dr Dodd or Dr Harthoorn at the ILSI Europe Symposium are encouraged to reach out to the Clasado team in advance.
