Clasado Biosciences has confirmed its attendance at Probiota Americas 2026, taking place 8-10 June at the Westin Bayshore, Vancouver, Canada.
CEO Per Rehné will represent Clasado across the three-day event, connecting with formulators, brand owners and product development professionals looking to explore the science behind prebiotic ingredient Bimuno® GOS and its potential in next-generation gut health formulations.
Organised by NutraIngredients, Probiota Americas brings together the global biotics community for a focused programme of microbiome science, regulatory developments, consumer trend insights and commercial strategy. The event provides a valuable platform for the prebiotics, probiotics and postbiotics industries to come together, share emerging research and shape the direction of the category.
Also present at the show will be Stratum Nutrition, Clasado’s North American distributor, who will be exhibiting and promoting Clasado’s Bimuno GOS prebiotic fibre with a particular focus on its growing sports nutrition credentials.
A recently published randomised double-blind placebo-controlled study, conducted at Nottingham Trent University and published in Experimental Physiology, demonstrated that daily Bimuno GOS supplementation supported gut barrier integrity and immune health in healthy male athletes undergoing a simulated football match in hot conditions. After six weeks, participants in the Bimuno GOS group experienced upper respiratory symptom episodes lasting an average of just 3.2 days, compared to 8.9 days in the placebo group, with symptom severity approximately 2.9 times lower. A 38% reduction in I-FABP, a biomarker of gut barrier damage, was also noted, alongside improvements in gastrointestinal symptom severity and salivary IgA response post-exercise.
Per commented: “Probiota Americas is an important event for the North American microbiome community, and one that perfectly reflects the direction the biotics category is heading. That direction is grounded in science, driven by consumer demand and full of commercial opportunity. Working alongside Stratum Nutrition, we look forward to sharing the latest research behind Bimuno GOS with formulators and brand owners who are serious about building products consumers can trust.”
With over 130 scientific publications, including more than 25 clinical studies, Bimuno GOS is the most widely studied prebiotic in its category.
