Clasado is pleased to announce that R&D Nutritional Scientist Intern, Roisin Pichon, ANutr, has taken on the role of Scientific Communications Executive.
Underlining the company’s global communications strategy and its leading position in the prebiotic space, the new role will see Roisin supporting the business in communicating the extensive scientific capabilities of its multi award-winning galactooligosaccharide ingredient, Bimuno® GOS.
As the business expands its international presence, Roisin will play a role in the education of Clasado’s scientific publications and studies in new and existing markets.
Commenting on her appointment, Roisin said: “With gut microbiome modulation remaining so important for health and nutrition formulators, it’s never been more imperative that the science behind prebiotics is amplified. Clasado is proudly positioned on the leading edge of this rapidly accelerating market, with the most comprehensively studied ingredient of its kind.
“As a result, we have a tremendous amount of knowledge in where Bimuno GOS excels, where prebiotic fibre fits into healthcare strategies, and where it can support formulations that target digestive, gastrointestinal, immune and cognitive health. In my new role as Scientific Communications Executive, I will be heavily involved in various activites throughout the business that centres on disseminating this knowledge.
“This activity includes our engagement with Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) and academic institutions. It’s one thing to develop such an outstanding portfolio of studies, but it’s another to make that information accessible and readily available. The Clasado name is synonymous with prebiotic based microbiome modulation expertise, and I look forward to building on that in my new role.”
