Clasado Biosciences is sponsoring scientific sessions at the International Sports & Exercise Nutrition Conference (ISENC), reaffirming its commitment to health and nutrition education.
The event, which takes place on 14-16 December 2021, is Europe’s premier sport and exercise nutrition conference. Featuring international speakers presenting the latest scientific evidence in athletic health, the conference is a high-level educational event endorsed by British Dietetics Association (BDA), the Sport and Exercise Nutrition Register (SENr) and the Association for Nutrition (AfN).
The event content is aimed at sports nutritionists, personal trainers, students and professionals interested in elements of sports nutrition. Clasado is sponsoring sessions on Tuesday 14th, which include ‘Exercise, nutrition and inflammation’ presented by Professor Mark Febbraio of Monash University, Australia, and ‘Female athlete triad/RED-s update’ hosted by Dr Anna Melin, Clinical Nutritionist and Senior Lecturer at Linnaeus University.
Dr Lucien Harthoorn, R&D Director at Clasado, commented: “At Clasado, we often say that one of our key business drivers is that we want to create better education around gut health and its influence on health, which of course includes athletics. As well as connecting with academic institutions, sponsoring events such as the ISENC conference is just one of the ways we accomplish this.
“Events such as this are invaluable in helping healthcare professionals keep up with the latest evidence and research in athletic health, which includes its exciting connections to the gut microbiome. We’re proud to sponsor events such as this to play our part in making education accessible for all.”
Studies conducted on Clasado’s premier prebiotic GOS ingredient, Bimuno, the most studied prebiotic of its kind, includes research conducted at Nottingham Trent University and published in the British Journal of Nutrition. Results indicate that the prebiotic reduced the severity of Hyperpnoea-Induced Bronchoconstriction (HIB), a common health challenge for athletes of all levels, from recreational to professional. The business has recently highlighted prebiotic-oriented supplements as the next great wave of innovation in athletic health.Dr Harthoorn added: “The realm of sport and athletic health moves so quickly that it can sometimes feel hard to keep up with the latest science. That’s why conferences such as ISENC are so valuable, as a way for the health community to connect and learn more about where today’s health science is moving.” |
