Clasado has announced a brand-new partnership with Reading, UK based charity, Sport in Mind®.
Sport In Mind is the UK’s leading mental health sports charity aiming to improve the lives of people experiencing mental health problems through sport and physical activity. In partnership with the National Health Service (NHS), the organisation delivers programmes designed by healthcare professionals and individuals with personal experience of mental health challenges.
To help support the important work of Sport in Mind, the Clasado team will get involved with the mental health charity’s calendar of events and looks forward to assisting this very worthy cause.
Steven Riley, Head of B2B & Corporate Marketing at Clasado Biosciences, comments: “Sport in Mind is a fantastic charity that communicates the benefits of an active lifestyle achieved through sport and exercise, aiming to ensure that everyone is aware of opportunities available to improve their mental health through physical activity. Mental health is a significant challenge to public health and what Sport in Mind is accomplishing is so important.
“We proudly support their passion and initiatives in making an important difference within their local communities. Sport in Mind meets this philosophy, and we look forward to getting involved. We believe in ethical, sustainable operations and giving back where we can, to ensure our business is always a force for good.”
By the nature of its work in gut health, microbiome science and prebiotics, Clasado Biosciences has a particular interest in the fields of mental health, sport and physical activity, indicating a strong connection of values between the organisations.
Neil Harris, Founder and CEO at Sport in Mind adds: “Mental health problems will impact many of us throughout our lives, but we have seen first-hand the positive impact that physical activity can have. We have partnered with our amazing NHS to aid recovery, promote positive mental wellbeing, and combat social isolation. In 2019, we gained the highest honour that can be bestowed on a charity, the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Services.
“Throughout the year we host a number of fundraising activities to help us provide essential learning resources and programmes, as well as volunteering opportunities. We are pleased to connect with the Clasado team and look forward to their contributions.”
